In Crossing Asia Episode 6, we avoid further scolding by my mum and get our butts to the Taj Mahal. It truly is as spectacular as mum insisted. After posting the episode on YouTube this week, I recalled mum emailing me some of her pics from her time in India in the 70s so I thought I’d share them below before linking the video from our trip in 2017 and you can all spot the major differences!

We spent just one night in Agra, as we were starting to be a little fed up with the cities and wanted to begin making our way north toward the Indian Himalayas. This would mean a lot of moving by bus, train, cars and auto-rickshaws, and learning how to pass the time waiting for transport. In episode 6, the boys start a band at the Agra train station, do some homeschooling, Remy makes a new musical friend on the train to Delhi, and we make the most of the overwhelm of carrying our only possessions across Asia with us.
Enjoy the episode, and don’t forget to give it a like on YouTube and please subscribe. Turning on the notifications bell will alert you when we publish a new video and don’t worry, there are plenty more to come!
