We arrived to Kathmandu by bus overland from Varanasi, India. The journey long, overnight, clocking over 21 hours. Our quest in Nepal was to do the Gosainkunda and Langtang treks unassisted, without porters or donkeys to carry our gear. Angie had been dreaming of this adventure since before she met Remy, he was more than keen to come along for the ride.
Though the high altitudes demanded a push through physical and mental pain, the kids - aged 6yo and 8yo - overcame the difficulties and would go on to enjoy the 9-day trek. A memorable highlight was plunging into the icy Gosainkunda Lake at 4,380m above sea level, a challenge Angie and Remy had been training for using the Wim Hof method of breathing and cold water exposure in the lead up to the trip.
Creating intimate vlog videos with our handheld DSLR camera, we thoroughly documented our voyage through Nepal and are pleased to share these with you.
