Taking five months to produce, this video encapsulates the emotional rollercoaster we navigated over two and a half years to bring Sahara into our lives. If you're a regular reader of our blog or follow us on Instagram, you're likely acquainted with the challenges we faced. Rather than dwelling on the hardships, this video aims to showcase, through limited iPhone footage, our unwavering determination to persevere in the face of recurring loss.
While the video doesn't explicitly delve into the struggles, I've documented them in writing before. At one point, Remy and I genuinely doubted our ability to have a baby. Enduring three consecutive losses and facing significant complications, including undergoing surgery twice to embolize hemorrhaging uterine arteries, we contemplated a life without a child together. We made a pact to cherish the love and adventures we'd shared if having our own baby proved impossible. Remy, concerned about the toll on my physical body and emotional well-being, even suggested we stop trying. I assured him I'd communicate if my body couldn't endure another miscarriage.
The fourth pregnancy, despite its complexity, blossomed into the gift of Sahara. The details of her birth story remain too raw and traumatic to share publicly, but the moment she cried upon entering the world was an indescribable relief. Those two years took a toll, visibly aging me, yet every glance in the mirror serves as a reminder of the resilience my body and soul displayed.
This video isn't about drama; it's a reflective stroll down memory lane. It serves as a reminder, particularly for me, to be kind to oneself, love our dear ones, believe in dreams, and connect with nature. Dedicated to the babies we lost, the hurdles we overcame, and our miracle baby, Sahara Evelyn-Rose, it encourages us to continue our adventures.
I hope this video can inspire others to persevere through challenges, embrace self-love, and hold onto their dreams. In memory of the past and the joy of the present, we look forward to the adventures that lie ahead now our family is complete.
Thank you for being here.
